In May of 2017, Evansville natives Thunder Dreamer released their sophomore album ‘Capture’ via 6131 Records. The album received critical acclaim from media sources like Pitchfork and Stereogum. The band claims their Midwest roots has shaped their sound into a complex pallet of Post-Rock, Shoegaze, & Emo. ‘Capture’ embodies a palpable feeling of euphoria & isolation, comfort & disdain spanning across 42 minutes of sprawling, powerful Indie-Rock. From ‘Capture’ the band performed ‘You Know Me’, ‘Why Bother’, & The Bridge at TEDxEvansville 2017. Thunder Dreamer is an earthy indie rock band from the Heartland who write emo-inflected tunes. They’re often soft, tempered and slow but can veer into explosive, impassioned melody at a moment’s notice. The combination of clear key tones, writhing guitar work and lead singer Steve Hamilton’s sorrowful, nostalgic vocal tone makes for specific storytelling that packs a revelatory punch.
